You know those days when you sit online and stare at a particular item wondering whether you should get it or not? In the shopping cart she goes, abandon your cart, put her back in again…..HIT THE DELETE BUTTON STAT. It’s an endless cycle of contemplation. I know some of you are laughing whist reading this because you know it is true.
A few months ago, I was sitting at my desk on Farfetch staring at this Balenciaga Bazar shopper. ‘Why a bag so big?’ you might say. Because I needed a good bag to carry my laptop and camera, plus the mound of junk I accumulate in my handbag. This is the one I thought. She is classic, great quality, large enough to fit my belongings in and would be the perfect carry on bag for flying. YES. Little did I know it would take 4 months to decide to purchase the bag. In and out, scroll, exit, add to cart, delete. Same went, for the Reformation top and the Bassike jeans I am wearing today. Who else does this? We contemplate too much. I am going to make up a new motto (or three!) and stick to them! ‘If it is a classic and you love it, buy it!’ ‘If you will use it every day, definitely buy it!’ ‘If it is a ‘must-have’ trend this season, that will probably collect dust in your wardrobe after a couple of wears, think again!’
I am happy to say that I finally bought it and haven’t looked back since. My laptop and camera love their new little home – haha! I have used it everyday since. Talk about getting the Cost Per Click down!
End of the year resolution: A little less contemplation, a little more action.
