An Australian mid-century icon returns

She is back.

She is more than just a stool, she is an icon and I have had my eye on her for a decade. She is the famous Danish Bar Stool by TH Brown, one of the most sought after mid-century stools ever produced in Australia. Yes that is right – made in Australia.

They only rarely come up for sale, at local vintage furniture stores here in Sydney, which is why I can happily note they are now (thanks to the 3rd generation of TH Browns family!) being reproduced. This is truly a beautiful story. The original stools were designed and produced from the mid 1950’s through to the 1970’s and are  among the most coveted Australian mid-century pieces ever produced. The original examples have become collectors items and are featured in some of the finest interiors in Australia and across the globe.

Welcome to the family TH Brown. Your Danish Bar Stools in Dark Ash are a perfect addition to my home.
